Hi friends, It’s been quite a while. Since the last time I wrote to you, I’ve drafted a new novel and developed a few half-baked ideas into stories that feel expansive, alive, and full of potential. I also received the news that my mom had cancer and, in the span of two terrible months, lost her.
I relate to this so much. Thanks for sharing. I'm definitely going to find me a nice ugly journal to fill with ideas. And writing has always been both a healthy and unhealthy escape for me. Times when I'm not writing, I often feel somewhat lost if I don't somehow incorporate it into my daily routine.
I am so sorry for the loss of your Mother. I understand that pain and grief as I lost my Mom back on August 8th, 2011. I had to go see her (I was living in PA at the time and she was living in Syracuse, NY area ) before she died, and upon leaving her I knew this would be the very last time I would see her. I cried half the way home on and off. To this day it's the greatest hurt in my life next to having lost my father on September 8th, 2022.
I have read both of your novels and I enjoyed reading them thoroughly. You have a way of writing that I find very enjoyable!
Looking forward to your next novel. I am in it for the long haul. Usually, when I find an author I enjoy reading I stick with reading all their books.
